Editorial Guidelines

Our Core Mission

At Puppy Size Calculator, our mission is to eliminate the dangerous guesswork behind canine growth tracking. Providing an inaccurate adult weight prediction can lead to severe joint issues, obesity, and improper nutritional feeding schedules. That is why our editorial process is one of the strictest in the industry.

Veterinary Review Process

Every internal tool, growth chart, and blog post is subjected to a rigorous evaluation by board-certified veterinarians (such as Dr. Sarah Jenkins). No article goes live without a medical professional verifying the biological claims within it.

  • Scientific Precision: Our calculators rely exclusively on peer-reviewed Sigmoidal Growth Curves.
  • No Anecdotal Evidence: We do not publish content that relies on common myths, such as "paw size" or anecdotal forum data.
  • Routine Updates: As absolute veterinary standards evolve (via organizations like AVMA and AKC), our computational multipliers and formulas undergo real-time recalibration to reflect the current consensus.

Transparency & Objectivity

We believe our users absolutely deserve to know how our math works. Whenever we publish an article or a mathematical predictor, we explicitly disclose the underlying formula. Our tools highlight that predictions for mixed breeds or unique biological mutations carry inherent variation, and we never claim our tools supersede direct veterinary evaluation.

Correction Policy

If an error is discovered in one of our growth charts or informational guides, we correct it immediately and update the "Last Updated" timestamp. We welcome feedback from the veterinary community and dedicated breeders to keep our datasets flawless.
